Hi all

I've had these T-stems for a little while and I am finally (probably) going to install them in the next month. Anyone know how they sit on the rim? It is shown they way they came - I don't remember who I ordered them from and can't find the receipt but they look like the ones Cyclemax carries. Help appreciated. If you have these what order of gasket/washer/nut?

Those look like the have two gaskets. Mine only has one. Is that an extra or are both needed?

My T-stems only have one gasket as well. I put the gasket on first from the inside, followed by the washer, then the two nuts. Once the first nut is seated, the second is "jammed" up against it to keep everything from coming loose.

It works for me (so far) - got a few thousand miles under my belt with them with no valve-stem related issues. (Well, of course, excluding the occasional balance bead stuck in the valve!:surprise:)

Got this info from Cyclemax:
They should be installed exactly as they are assembled in the picture on our website. The rim should be between the rubber washer and the cup washer.

I just received a pair of those same t-stems today, from Cyclemax. No instructions were provided, but I am glad you have gotten clarification. Looking at them, your instructions seem right on the money.

Thanks Much,
Joe H

Once you have T-valves, you'll never go back. Got them on both of my bikes with FOBO TPMS sensors on all tires too.

I was hunting for this info because I mounted the T-stem the other day and now I'm second guessing myself.

I think that Cyclemax statement translates to the washer goes on the stem side / outside the tire. OK, I can live with that since that's what I did and the air is holding. So far!

a) it is different than the FOBO stem. OK.

b) When installing, the metal washer and the first nut sort of disappear into the stem hole on my '06 rim, are nearly flush with the rim, and there's not enough clearance to get a socket or box wrench around. That almost made me move that washer to the inside.

It probably doesn't matter either way.
