Two acorn nuts on the right rear side came off fine, however, the one that's recessed well into the housing would not loosen and I believe is stripped.

Can not get the lens out to replace bulb.

Help, please?????????

tail light nuts

there has been a post about this subject, The nuts are so tight they break the plastic the studs are mounted to. If I remember right some of the post said to take it to the dealer and let him break it then they have to give you a new light. Not sure if your's is to old or not, After rreading the post I broke mine loose and never seized them.

You dont need to remove the lense to replace the bulb. Just follow the wires in the trunk or sadle bag to where they go into the lense. you will feel the socket push in and turn.

Snoopy, NO WAY are there ANY exposed wires on this 2005. Everything is covered by the plastic case. The book says to loosen the acron nuts and take out the lens and then undue the bulb holders......but I can't get the one acorn nut loose. It is stripped. Looking for suggestions.
