I am in the process of making an insert in the passenger seat for my dog. It´s a Sihtzu, so a bit smaller than medium size. I have been lokking at some riding gear for the dog! from Zoomergear. Have any of you good people out there any exprience of their products or maybe you can point out other manufacturers? I am talking about a helmet and goggles.

We take our dog, Peanut, almost everywhere that we go. She loves to ride. We have some doggles for her that we carry with us but she has only worn them once. She has her own windshield so she has protection. Peanut has a rain coat in case we get in a rain storm and we have done that. She also has an electric coat that we ordered from Gerbings. Peanut wears her electric coat when it is cold. She really likes it as she knows that heat will be coming soon and will be warm. We have a wool coat for her when it is not cold enough for the electric jacket. We never have bought her a helmet as we have not ever been around where one was at. I might look for one at Wing Ding in July for her if I can find one to fit her. I also am wanting to get Peanut a leather vest at Wing Ding if they have one there. I hope that I have answered some of your questions.

If you are riding by yourself. You can take one of those small plastic pet cages they sell everywhere and place it in the back seat. Then strap it on so it will not fall off and take your buddy with you.
The problem I have with the pet carries that are black is they will get really hot in the summer with the sun beating down on them.
Do NOT even think about putting your dog onto a carrier that attaches to a hitch. If you do your dog will be in doggie heaven in no time with the exhaust fumes being forced into them.

I just want to thank all you guys for both your replys here and your
e-mails. I think i have the information i needed and am in the process of ordering some gear now.:lol:
If my seat insert will be a success i will post some photos on the board. That is if i can find out how to!
