I have recently got feedback that some folks were wanting to know a date for 2023 Texas ******* RTE to be able to plan for vacations with their work schedules. The tentative dates discussed with the boss are April 28-29, 2023 and those camping leaving on Sunday the 30th, 2023. i know this is not likely what the norther folks want to hear but there are too many other things competing in May to have it then. As I mentioned in a previous post, I will be inviting those who will be camping on my lawn to arrive a day earlier, Thursday April 27th arrive mid-morning. Since in most cases those individuals are traveling further and to make their trip a little less rushed. The past few years I got to know those who camped on the lawn a little better and I think that is the main purpose behind getting together in the first place. If you are planning on being one of those campers, please let me know. Momma wants to be prepared ahead of time.

We are open to suggestions on additional things people want to do or short trips people may want to take locally while you are here. I think I will round up some horseshoes and maybe a bean bag toss game and make that available for a little competition, weather permitting. Optional indoor (garage) competition may take place then.

Looking forward to another successful gather in 2023.

Thank you Terry. This is good news. A couple of people have mentioned that they needed to plan vacation time. I actually remember having to do that too before I retired! Last weekend in April was what I eventually settled on for my RTE, rain or shine. I'll see you and Teresa at Roge's soon!

There are three sisters, plus a number of other good roads in the area. Navasota is 4.5hrs to Leakey the fast way, and probably 6-7 the fun way.

Terry, I should be there (not camping). And again I'm providing almost 8 months of warning "Splash" will be riding with me so Expect to use your rainsuit (can YOU HEAR me Bullet Bob??). Granted, since he drove his Kia this year, it only rained on the way and Navasota had beautiful weather while we were there.
