Thanks Trialsman!

For those who did not have the opportunity to follow Trialsman from Dawsonville to Blairsville--approx. 106 miles of twisting roads--you missed a great ride! I am somewhat new to the area, but know most of the primary roads that go anywhere, but. . .

Trialsman knows roads the county road departments have probably forgotten!

If anyone here uses Garmin's Mapsource and is interested, I have a track of our route.

Being a trike rider, my upper body got a superb workout today. And it was good therapy for my throttle wrist (broken this past October).

I was so looking forward to it but just couldn't make it.........
If I could only keep up with Paul I would think I was good
Like I said before, If you have the opportunity and don't take trailsman up on his offer of going for a ride, you are a fool or and idiot.
Yes, it was a great ride, Trailsman sure knows the back roads of north Georgia. If any of you didn't come because of the cool temperatures you missed a good ride.

Thanks Trailsman!!
Wish I could have joined you all, but I'm out in the northwest (Portland) visiting family.
From the looks of it you traveled some of north Georgia's best. Paul had his "SPOT" locator on so I was able to check your progress now and then through out the day:

I didn't make the ride but made the lunch. It was nice to put faces with the names. I look forward to doing this again.

I seriously thought about worshiping at the Blairesville church of Christ, then moseying on over to the lunch, but I didn't.

Don't forget that there are many nice roads all over northeast Georgia, and I'm talking East of US129. Everyone that owns a motorcycle should live where I do. :doorag:
It was indeed a nice ride...Enjoyed the company and meeting new folks.

A little disappointed in the numbers, but I understand.

Meeting me at 10 was Fox in Ga. from Conyers and Trike Mike and his bride from near Waleska.

When we got to the lunch place there were Tn. Charlie, WimpyHonda and Boxmaker from the Knoxville area.

Just as we got started, in walked Towmotor from Alabama and N. Ga. Rider who lives there in town..

Thanks to all would made the effort.

Oh, yeah! I've been that way a few times, but there are so many roads and so little time.

Maybe a RTE to the Dillard House, then some long miles to work off the food?
I wish I could of made it today. I'm taking tomorrow off and plan on riding up that way. Will probably even have lunch at the same place. Won't be the same being by myself but still fun.
Sounds like I missed out on a good ride with yall. The cooler weather or rain will NEVER keep me away from a ride, but Sunday will always be reserved for the LORD. I will ride in the afternoon after church services, but not before. Sorry. Saturdays are good for me anytime. We'll meet up soon. Semper-fi
Sorry I missed it.
I have a GPS and have been riding around north GA mtns for years but prefer to just get behind Paul and follow, he really does know the good roads.
I need to make better use of my GPS. I tend to just use it to plan multiday rides and for travel in the car.

Steve
Wish I could have made it - last ride I did with Paul he sure found some roads that I never rode before, and I have rode quite a few in the north GA area. That was the weekend we went to Las Vegas.
A while back, Trailsman sent me a map with a bunch of good roads to ride in that area. I made routes on my GPS to cover everything he recommended. Really looking forward to our trip there in late May.

Maybe somebody got some????
Hey, Bill,
I bought a digital camera a few months back on sale. Been carrying it around but haven't read the manual yet.:?

Say,Hi. to Mirtes for me.

Oh, and thanks for showing me some of those roads that I take credit for finding.
Could you please send me a track of your ride? I love riding in that area and would like to see exactly where you all went riding. [email protected]
