The initial version of this helmet, the RF-1000 was replaced in 2014 by the RF-1200. Today Shoei offers the latest version of this popular helmet! Introducing the RF-1400 model! The design was improved in several key areas. The shell was slightly redesigned to improve aerodynamics namely to reduce lift and drag. The face shield system and baseplate were improved too.

A world-class team of Shoei designers and engineers did a great job pushing all available resources and technologies to the limit, utilizing an in-house state-of-the-art wind tunnel facility, an extensive array of proprietary materials, and the industry’s most stringent quality assurance practices to develop the all-new RF-1400. SHOEI’s lightest and most compact SNELL-approved full-face helmet model, the RF-1400 has evolved elevating the perfection to the next level. The helmet is available in a range of sizes and colors. The versions with graphics are available at MOTORCYCLEiD.com too.

Love my Shoeis; have had bunches both street and off-road. Currently have an RF-1200 and love it for street and karting. Recently switched to a 6-D brand off-road helmet b/c of the safety system it has. Will be curious to see if Shoei goes in that direction. Brain is too scrambled to much matter anymore, but it can't hurt (wow, what a place for a pun!!!).
