My 2009 has all of these issues. My 2016 has NONE of them.
(1) Engine stutter on cold engine.
(2) Preload adjustment doesn't start pumping fluid at zero.
(3) Slack in Cruise Control causes delay of a few seconds before Cruise Control sets.
On the 2009, I never consider any of these a huge problem. I warmed up my bike; ran the preload up to 25; and learned to hold down the Cruise Control Set Button for a couple of seconds.
On the 2016, I tried taking off on a cold engine and it pulls away flawlessly. No stutter, shutter or pause. Checked the Preload Adjustment. It pumps fluid from zero. (My '09 doesn't start pumping fluid until "10".) Cruise Control sets instantaneously. Press the Set Button and it's set. No delay.
As I said, these issues were never really a big deal to me, but it's good that apparently Honda has fixed them. I thought others would like to know.
