I'm thinking about attending the "Thunder In The Valley" rally this year in Johnstown, PA, from June 24-28. I've never been to this rally and would like to hear from those you have attended. Would love ideas on good places to stay (hotel, motel), tours to do, decent route of travel to get there. I'm leaving from Staten Island, NY. Thank you.:joke:

Hi Live only about 30 mile from Thunder In The Valley. Have been there for the last 5 years. It is a good time. I not sure you want to see but it is a very good set up. There is about any thing you want to see some very nice local torist things(they have rides scheduled you can take) There are a lot of bands and vendors. It is set up with a lot of family type of things in the down town to more adult things in two area on called green house park one at the Cambria County fair gounds about 20 mile away. I think it is sponsered buy ABATE. The whole (small) city turn in to bike the down town is shut down to car and only bike are allowed. They do run shuttle service for people to drive there cars. You may want to check on getting a room in Indiana Pa only about 25 miles away but J town is full. Thursday nigth in Ebensburgh is wings and wheels nigth great car and bike show with lot of wings and beer. If you want more specific information get in touch. [email protected]

FYI, August 20, 21 and 22 is the GWRRA PA District Rally in Johnstown also.

Thank you for that piece of information, I was not aware of this.I will look into it further.
