Hi team, it is my pleasure to join your great forum, as I finally own my dream bike, Goldwing GL1800 2015 with 20k miles.

the first owner was (covering) the timing chain cover with painted cover black glossy. ( it was chrome ).. however, I need to remove it in order to re-painted with silver. there are no bolts, only in center, I believed it is Kuryakyn brand.

can someone help me to remove it without break it?

thanks to you all

I use a modern fishing line, like SpiderWire. Thread it behind the plate and use a sawing motion to cut through the foam portion of the tape, then you can remove the glue from the plate and the bike, and reapply when you've finished repainting it.

Chances are you will destroy the cover when trying to remove it. You could try getting the engine up to operating temp and slowly pry around the edges. The double face tape holing it on is really strong.
