I discovered an Easy way to Install Rubber Drive Shaft Boots!

As you may know, it can be very difficult to Tug/Pull the ears ...on account of the very tight work space (esp on an GL1800).

If you make a small hole in each ear, and slide a Long White Zip Tie through it... then you suddenly have (6) easy-to-pull features that you can manipulate to maneuver the rubber boot into place, and even stretch it to install !

Once installed, simply push the zip ties out to remove.

Did something happen to the original boot ?

I removed the (GL1800) boot, in order to remove the Swing Arm (to service bearings). The boot was Ok in this case, although I've had to replace them on my 1500's.
