I will shortly be getting my GL1800 wheels powder coated and am considering fitting a run flat CT and a TPMS kit. I will be replacing the valve stems with the angled plated steel type with the lock nuts on the outside of the rim. My query is will the extra bulk of the screw on pressure sensor be too much for the stem at speed or should I go for a set up that has an internal sensor?
Your advice would be much appreciated.

No Sir, no issues at all as long as it's the metal valve stem and not the rubber one. I have never had a problem with the metal valve stems and have used stem mounted TPMS sensors for 8 years now.

Of course, you could use the Orange Electronics M202 and eliminate the problem, since the sensor is inside the tire.

In the event of a rapid deflation of the front tyre, would the sensor not suffer a little? :eek:4:
Don't know. It's possible, I suppose. It mounts immediately inside the rim at the valve stem hole. Your own risk assessment.
