Wanting to put an aftermarket tire presure sensor on my 2012 wing. Am I correct in thinking that I just screw the new sensors on the end of my current valve stem. Then just look at the reading on the new system and ignore mt TPMS light? I think the batteries in the factory sensor are going bad.

That would work if you have metal valve stems and not the OEM rubber valve stems! The screw on sensors will break the rubber stems. Fred Harmon can replace the batteries in the OEM TPMS sensors or it can be done yourself.

I put screw on sensors on my 2012 factory stems. They are not rubber stems. I have not had any problem with them for the past 6 years.
