I now have over 2K miles on the new Traxxion suspension and I just finished updating my review of the Traxxion Dynamics suspension upgrade for the GL1800.

You can read it here:

Hi Fred...I have a couple questions..
Please understand that I'm not picking on you,I'm just curious that's all.

Knowing that you had the Kuryakyn brace on your 02 and I'm sure a smart guy like you has seen the countless reports of Kuryakyn's rep with bad chrome, how some guys reported how the "Old discontinued design" fork dust covers were falling off.
Why didn't you go with the Traxxion brace and Max's better design to hold his covers on his brace?

What I found puzzling is your knowing all this yet instead of returning the Kuryakyn brace & covers (I'd of eaten the shipping too) when you got them,Then go with the Traxxion set up seeing you just bought the works for suspension..

Can you tell me if your Kuryakyn brace had any chrome peeling/pitting when you traded in your bike??

I've seen a few that have done so,Including my own two year old kury brace..

Thanks for your time..

BTW: we want pic's of the new brace installed....lol
I bought the Kuryakn brace back in 2007 before Traxxion had one available. I took it off the old bike before I sold it, and moved it to the new one.

Ahh.I take it then that you didn't have any chrome issue with the Kury brace?
You take way to good care of your stuff to put on a Brace with any issues, especially on your new toy..
The only chrome issue I have with the Kuryakyn brace was my aversion to chrome in the first place. It is the only chrome item I can remember ever installing on any bike. I looked it over when I moved it to the new bike, did notice one spot on it that looks like it is chipped or peeling, but it was not in an area where it could be seen. I think it has about 40-50K miles on it.

Thankfully, the Traxxion is not chromed.

Great Review,
About how long on your fork brace review. My forks go to T/D Monday. Sorry to press you. But your reviews are all ways right on. And I have the Super Brace now and would like to replace it with a better one.
Thanks
greg
Get the Traxxion brace. No peeling chrome and the fork protectors are better. I haven't put them both on the scale yet, but my initial impression is that the Traxxion brace is lighter, which reduces the unsprung wheel weight.
