A few weeks ago someone posted about a couple losing the rear wheels off their Trike while riding down the road at high speed. I hope the couple has recovered (or are recovering) okay.

Did the poster ever come back with any details about the "Rear Wheel Seperation"?

I think it was a Boss Hoss with a big block in it according to the post ,haven't heard anymore on it.

Denny, if I recall, I believe I read where the lug-nuts wasn't torqued properly. Not sure if it was on this board or another.

I believe it was an axle failure. Check with the trike board.

Just heard today (3/30/09 that after a couple of surguries they are doing better but still in a lot of pain.

This was a boss hog trike that had been a tester for the company. Te back end came apart from the main frame. He went with the fron of the bike and laid it over while she road out the rear section which dug in and flipped around. She is still pretty messed up.

Thanks for prayers and concern...thunderwing
