Group going to WingD from AR. and will be doing a loop to get there. We will be Coming through ALA via Decatur - Scottsbora & over to I-59,,,,,,,,, As a Group we do not want to go through Chattanooga any kinda way.. So.

Question....... what is the best "Other Way" to Tellico Plains where we will overnight... https://goo.gl/maps/VoGz1GXBFsE2 Route seems to be ok as it is not much longer but I don't know anything about that area or the roads google map picked.

Suggestions would be a great help for the riders from AR E riders HS AR.

Nice for a few curves to break things up

I live just NW of Moulton, AL. Good decision to bypass Chattanooga (hate it with a passion to ride or drive through), it will take you a bit longer but is safer in my opinion.

I made a small detour to your route for your consideration that gives you a few curves along the way between Hamilton, AL and Moulton, AL. It ain't much, but about the best in our immediate area with minimal traffic. Going through Wm Bankhead National Forest is not a very long ride but fun if you like sweepers and a few tight curves thrown in for good measure.:wink2:
Have fun on your trip!!

Mike

Morning Mike... I will pull that route up and take a look see. Yes I swore I would not ride thru Cnooga agail. LOL

2wheelsforme sent me this info. Looks like an interesting route we really ought to make being that close. , a beautiful curvy road along the deepest gorge East of the Mississippi.

Have you been this route? https://goo.gl/maps/AiA7znx7wvp

Our Group will be coming through Scottsbora Alabama.. Goggle map entries start at Scottsbora on to Fort Payme, to Little River Canon Falls >Summerville> Georgia >Dalton > chatsworth> oconee> jalapa and on to Tellico Plains..

Thank you for your info...

We are not from Bama but have made that run a dozen or more times; we like the run on 30 by Archville thru Reliance via 315 on into Tellico Plain. While in Tellico Plains, you might consider stopping at the Telicafe, biker own, classically trained, really great food.

That will take you across the bridge and is well worth a stop on the far side and take a break and look. Even a small hike if you wish to go down to the falls. Before crossing the bridge the road along the gorge goes south, even a mile or three down that way has some nice overlooks.

Bingle50 is correct on route and a place to eat. Another option would be when you get to 74 go a little further east to Ducktown and pick up 68 to Tellico.
