As I understand it there's a 500 mile long private road in Northern Quebec and there's only one stop (a single gas station/restaurant) along the way... nothing else but trees and lakes/streams. The road ends on the James Bay just south of the Hudson Bay. Anybody out there make this trip? What months are best?

I've done it a couple of times. Best time is summer solstice but any time in June- Aug would do. Lots of blackflies when you stop.

It's actually pretty empty from North Bay on up[750 miles]. One stretch is about 250 miles without gas so you'll need an extra can.

Remember Montana's "Reasonable and Prudent" ? That's what this road is and you can run most of it at 100 mph if you want.
