For some reason, a friend of mine (and fellow Gold Wing rider) is having problems being "approved" to join the forum. So he has asked me to question the group about a problem he is having.

His turn signals on his 2002 Gold Wing are intermittently failing. They can work for a while, and then for no reason...just quit. However, he does think that the blinkers quitting could possible be related to hitting a bump with his rear wheel.

He has taken his bike to the dealer, and they can't find the problem (probably because he hasn't been able to make it "act up" when they are checking it out).

Has anyone else experienced a problem like this? Has anyone found a solution?

Maybe it's working normally? If the wheels are rolling it will time-out, and if the wheels are not rolling it won't.

How much experience with Wings does the guy have? How much experience does the mechanic have?

I have been with him when this happens...the blinkers won't even come on. And I know that he did take his bike to the Honda dealership.
