I recently purchased the
LED Lighted Trunk Molding (3221) from kuryakyn
http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=honda&ci=2820
and the
LED Lighted Saddlebag Molding (3222) from kuryakyn
http://www.kuryakyn.com/products.asp?bn=honda&ci=2819

I got chrome with LED's because I did not want the lights to show all the time ...
... well, duh, I now see the suggested wiring diagram is to connect them to the running lights and therefor they will be on all the time (and show) anyway.
:-(

I've thought about connecting them to the brake and/or turn signals
... also thought about combinations of that (rear lights for brakes, side lights for turn signals)
... also thought about an external switch to control them.

questions:
1) Will they overload the brake or turn signals if connected that way?
2) Has anyone tried or seen any other better way to connect these?
... overall, I'm looking for just a chrome "look" during the daytime but want the lights on at dusk and after dark ...

thanks in advance,
Dennis

I don't have the Kury's but the other brand, Big Bike I think, same thing just different shape where the LED's are. My instructions were for either Run or Brake. I wired them for Brake and have had no problem at all.

I have the Kury saddlebag chrome LED lights too. I also wanted the chrome look in the daytime and the LED lights on at night. I installed switch that mounts on top of the front brake master cylinder and connected all of my LED lights to that switch unit. The switch unit is available in either chrome or black and has three switches so you can connect and power different lights.
