On my '05, whenever I hit the trunk release (either through remote or just the lever) the trunk lid would pop up slightly. (Enough to easily slide my hand under the lid to raise it up). It has stopped doing this now. I can hear the release, and lift the hood - but no movement on its own.

Is there a part worn out or something that needs maintenance? Thanks guys.

Try putting some good poly 1/4 inch water line tubing inside the trunk gasket.

Might give it enough support to pop it up again. Also spray the gasket with a silicone lube of some kind.

The rubber gasket around the trunk has likely lost it's elasticity. My trunk doesn't pop up as much as it use to also.
