I belive someone mentioned that if you load up on the trunk luggage rack that you should beef the trunk seal. My question is how and with what a different seal? If so where to get?
Get some silicone tubing from a hardware or aquarium place. I think it was 1/8 O.D tubing.. You can slide it through the INSIDE of the black molding the whole way. Make sure to use "Dawn" and water and it will work wonders. I finshed mine with a little plastic dowel and glue. I think I bought around 3 feet maybe four.... Good luck..
I am a belt and suspenders type guy. I put the silicon tubing inside the seal and just finished installing these about 5 minutes ago. Hoping that the tubing will help keep the seal in shape and that the bumbers will help support and keep the lid in the correct positioning.
