Any of you guys in the Tulsa area went to the Dark side yet? I was in California a couple of weeks ago and test rode a bike that had the car tire on it and I really liked the ride, took a minute or 2 to get use to the twisties but after that it was great. If you have changed out what tire did you use and who changed it out for you? I have checked with Renegade in Glenpool and they would not do it.

I have been a Darksider since last summer when I purchased a rear wheel with a Michelin Alpin from board member Rick Mays. I have enjoyed the ride and have had no issues with the tire or its performance in any way. Here is a link to some installers. In addition, most say that WalMart will install if you tell them it is a special trailer tire.

I now have about 50,000 on Michelin Alpins. I have a spare rim and so far have mounted my own tires. Use spoons, wood blocks to keep bead down, and lots of lube
