I've been thinking about getting a Tulsa Windshield. Will anything make contact to the windshield like the GL 1500 did WHen I had to turn the handle bar sharply to the left or right?

I have the regular style Tulsa and my bars do not touch it in full turn.
In case you did not know it, Tulsa has released a new OEM style windshield and it comes in +2 and +4. May be worth a look if you don't want the swept back look and features. Also it is adjustable.

Is the +2 and +4 means how much taller over stock?

Yes exactly. +2 inches over and +4 inches over. Actually is is more than that. This is from the Tulsa site:

Tulsa Enterprises is proud to announce that we now have a NEW Replacement OEM style Windshield for the GL 1800 that is ADJUSTABLE. It is available in Tinted or Clear and also with or without the Vent Hole using the GL 1800 Honda Vent. This addition to our line of Windshields will provide riders of the GL 1800 with the same adjustments as the OEM, but, with a reduction in buffeting, improvement in wind protection and the Superior Optical Quality that our customers have become accustomed to. This Windshield is available in the same height as the OEM, it is 1 inches wider at the bottom and 3 inch wider at the top of the OEM. It is also available in a OEM -2 inch, OEM+2 Inch and a OEM +4 inch, the width will be the same for all sizes.

I am rather short at 5'9" and I don't get buffetted at all from the regular Tulsa that is swept back more than OEM.

The new shield is not swept back and resembles the OEM shield with the addition of more material to make it wider, and at the top as desired by the rider. Hope this helps!
