I have 2004 gl1800 w motortrike kit. Turn signals suddenly stopped working. Lights were lit but no flash. Checked fuses okay. Discovered
they worked if tail light fuse was pulled. Also brake lights did not work in normal mode but did work on fender lights with afore mentioned fuse pulled. With fuse in have dim barely visible on trunk light. Need help on where to turn next.

You probably have a bad ground that runs the entire lighting system for the rear of the bike. Under your seat there will be a large connector (actually there are two very much alike) you will be looking for the one with 14 wires, (not the one with 12). On one end of that connector, you will probably find a green wire with a discolored or melted contact. The fix is to bypass the connector by cutting the wire and replacing the connection with a spade m/f connector.
