I have a 2006 GW and when I turn the corner, and the bike is upright again the signals keep flashing for awhile before they cancel.
They have always done this sense the bike was new.
A guy I was riding with has a 2003 and his signals cancel as soon as the bike is going straight again.
Is something wrong with my bike, or is this the way it's supposed to work?

Look under the bike...........

Above the timing cover, just aft the forks (lower triple tree) and see if there is a black strap positioned over a "switch" like button.
On my 08 if it the black strap is not over the button, the siginals will not cancel right after a turn till a ways down the road.

Thanks for the picture, I'll take a look this afternoon.

On Edit:
Took a look at it, and the lower part where it's pressed on the stem had pulled off, I lined it back up and pushed it back on, now we'll see if it stays put.
