i decided to give the new ownership at unigo a try revently

i liked the idea and the looks of their product, even though so many folks were smacking them around, the new ownership claimed to ahev their act together

i placed an order and was promised a 5-6 week ship , well then it became an 8 week ship, and then after the 8 weeks, it became.....

i just got the deposit back on my bank card this morning

all i can say is, from my experience, they have their head in their butts

i was another customer who wanted their item, and was willing to fork over the cash, and they couldnt get their part taken care of

two thumbs down for UNI-NO-G0

That is too bad they aren't getting their ducks in a row. I purchased mine when Uni-Go was still a New Zealand company and still like it very much. Wonder what their problem might be? At least you got your money back. That may be a good sign they are at least attempting to make things right. Guess we'll have to wait and see. They are really nice rigs!!

i got the deposit back from the dealer, nothing to do with the actual unigo company

delivery dates came and went and the last i heard was --my--trailer wasnt painted yet

so i took the chance to ask for a refund, i was tired of getting told stories, the delaer didnt balk at all

he agreed that there was a problem, he was caught in the middle

That is a shame because they really are nice trailers. I still wonder why they are having so many production problems -- if that is what the issue really is??? I suppose they will either come out of this ok...or lose their shirts. I for one hope they do get things right.

Too bad they are not getting it together. They were the previous US distributors for the Australian company that made them before - I'm pretty sure. I think they have found that distribution is a completely different world than manufacturing. I think they have had a lot of issues piecing together US suppliers for their components and particularly good painting capacity.

It would probably save them a lot of money and maybe their business if they brought in some manufacturing consulting help short term to help them pull it together.

I was one of the original buyers back in Jan and didn't receive mine until May but am glad I waited and have it now.

Bill, ya gotta tell the whole story here. Not only did they ship the thing to the wrong address (mine) after you told them and e-mail them with the correct shipping address. But the darn thing was banged up and had one hell of a scratch on it that probably had to be floated smooth. And to boot the paint didn't match!

But now you have your Texas A&M Aggie colored trailer and your a happy camper tootling down the Texas highways.

I also very much wanted a Uni-Go. It just seemed to make good common sense. However, after 2 dealers told me how flakey the Schoolchild operation in Ohio was and how they lied and lied and lied (plus the FEW trailers being "shipped " were leaking big time) I had to seek an alternate. I was also looking for a trailer designed and built by professionals, not children.

I was SO FORTUNATE to read GL1800.com and Riders Rally board members heaping praise on the ALUMA trailer. And from an economic standpoint it (for me) was a no brainer.

There are about a dozen very high quality fiberglass trailers on the market (my personal favorite being Tom Fintch's fantastic Tailwind { www.tailwindtrailesr.com }). For some folks seeking that classy look and advanced engineering like the Tailwind Triplex Suspension and Duo-Flex Drawbar they can't be beat. They all are great companies offering great quality and great service.

The (VERY fast yellow) ALUMA MCT trailer ( www.alumaklm.com )I purchased from Thomas Bus Sales ( www.thomasamerican.com ) in Iowa (and had shipped to NC) cost me less than $1,600.00 delivered in perfect condition to my door. Aluma answered a few questions I had promptly, professionally and courteously. The trailer is manufactured with strength and integrity. It pulls and tracks flawlessly. And it draws a lot of attention where ever I go. I have highly recommended this trailer to all the folks who have admired it "in person" and I highly recommend it to fellow board members. The professionals at Aluma Company and the nice folks at Thomas Bus Sales are really nice to do business with!

I wrestled with buying DonMac's last New Zeland made Unigo or waiting and buying the new "American" made one. There were guesses at the time, on how long I'd have to wait for the start up company to begin production, so I went ahead and bought it. I'm really sorry to hear the Ohio based company is struggling as the product itself is a worthy design. We really enjoy ours and have had zero problems with it. Hope they get their act together. :D

Bassnman,

It took 3 days to get your Piggy? Poor service I would say. I ordered mine on Monday afternoon and received it Wednesday morning. Extremely well packaged for shipment. No scratches and the paint matched perfectly( black is black).

Well I waited over 9 months for my Kury floorboards simply because they were on the drawing board and not in full production. I could have gone with the Rivco but I didnt care for they way the rubber inserts were set at an angle so i elected to be patient and wait for the Kury After they arrived I was very happy with my decision to wait I am very pleased with the Kurys' As far as the Unigo I cant help but think the company is just running into unforseen problems that they will undoubtly work out as for me I'll remain patient and give them time to come through Glenn in Phx.

i follow your idea,

however unigo promised 5-6 week delivery date to me

had they said___ at the start, i would have been able to make my choice

so after their date got changed 3 times

and not by a little,

i just dont feel good giving my money to a company who flat out lies to me

problems can arise, yes, but they have a history of this bullsquat

had they said up front 5 months, it would ahev been all the way different than stringing me along with false promises

im just glad the dealer was decent about it, and refunded the deposit

I agree with ya - it is much better to under promise and over perform. By now they should be much better projecting a delivery date and performing to that date within reason ... +/- a week at the worse. It is simple orders vs capacity available based on their demostrated throughput - by now they have enough history to manage that within reason or they just don't have the skills.

For me this was the only trailer I was going to buy - didn't want one of the big ones so if I didn't get this one I would not have gotten anything so waiting was not as big of a deal to me, I didn't like it but I was patient to get what I wanted and I was pleased when the wait was over and the problems I had satisfactorily resolved.

If not having a trailer at all is not important or if there is another you would be happy with I'd stay away too. There are enough frustrations in life. If this is the trailer you really want go into it knowing they will be terrible on delivery until their actual track record proves otherwise - that way you won't be as disappointed.

I liked the idea of the Uni go but did not want the hassel that everyone else was having.
I bought an N Line. The N Line is a great trailer and Richard has done everything that he said he would.
I am a very happy N Line owner. :D
