I was looking at a UniGo and it had a strange looking hook-up. Can thid be replaced with a convential ball hitch set up??? Do I have to go with their hitch set-up?

You need the U- Joint type hitch so that the trailer has motion left/right and up/down but rolls with the longitudinal centerline of the bike.

you can use a normal hitch and have an adapter plate to convert it to the unigo system

they have it listed on their web site

You have to go with their hitch set-up, however you can use other receiver type hitches. I have a bushtec with a uni-go adapter. I can also use the bushtec with a ball type adapter, but not to tow a uni-go.

The u-joint is on the trailer drawbar. PM me if you have any other questions.
