I'm trying to remove the bolt that holds the pulse generator sprocket, does anyone know for sure if it is left or right hand thread ? I've tried both and I want to be sure before I really put the power to it.

My 01 thru 05 service manual just says it is torqued to 43 ft.lbs with oil on the threads and mating surface. No mention of reverse threads anywhere. :D Why are you removing it? just curious.

Per my 2002 Service manual General Information/Torque Values table the Ignition Pulse Generator Rotor bolt is a 10mm right hand thread and should be torqued to 43 lbf-ft and should have oil applied to the threads and seating surfaces.

Thanks MotorcycleBoy, my 01-03 manual has no mention of thread direction that I could find. Techdude2000, I am removing it to replace the right head and cam chain. (accident damage)
