Reference what I noticed yesterday - see the attachment.

During the login process, there is the original name/password function, then there is the FB Connect process.

Is there any linkage of information between this FB login process and the original name/password function native to the forum?

Is there any cross-pollination between them? I do NOT want FB to have any of my information - period.

Hi there - Login with the Signin to Facebook option simply uses your currently logged in Facebook session to authenticate. Your username/password information that you set specifically on this site does not transfer back to Facebook. Many people choose to do so because it makes it easier to access various places. If you do not wish to use the Facebook connect option, then you don't need to. If you don't have a Facebook account at all, then you won't be able to use that login option. I hope that helps!
