that's too bad. I was hopeful that this one would be THE answer.

Thanks for posting your impressions.
sad, only one review and it sounds like a complete failure
Thanks: You saved me 121 bucks, unless there are any better reviews!! May waite for a taller version, but if the standard is weak ???
TN Charlie and I were talking about this windshield today. I guess we need more reviews. This is why this board is so handy.:cool:

:-:)-( I too, was going to get this one, oh well maybe they will stiffen it up if no one likes it the way it is.
windshield

I have heard the F4 is the best out there from people that have them
so that is what I am ordering ,they are thicker and taller and cost is higher but I want the best.
Blade,

I had a tall Tulsa and replaced it at CatsCade '07 with an F4+4. I was taken by the manufacturer's display with a windshield wiper wrapped in steel wool going back and forth over his shield without scratching the surface.

It sheds rain drops with ease, provided it is kept clean of bug guts. I always clean the shield after a day's ride when traveling, but I got caught in a downpour once in late afternoon, after riding all day on a cross-country trip, and, being covered in a lot of bug guts, it didn't fair any better than any other windshield. The rain streaked the guice of the bugs all over the shield.

What I learned on other subsequent trips, is to clean the shield as I always did, but also just before getting into a thunder shower, if I notice the shield full of dead bugs.

Also, I think that the F4s are the only shields that you can apply a coat of Rain-X to its surface without any harm, as I do.

I ordered one last week from HDL. Should be getting it next week. Will let you know how it is. Based on what I'm reading looks like I jumped the gun on ordering it, but will try it out and if it does flex as stated I'll be sending it back also. Jim
Don't they field test these things first?
Thats why I ordered it based on another person on the forum field testing it and giving it a thumbs up. Sounded like the manufacturer took longer than anticipated because they wanted to get it right. The only clue in the write up was they didn't think they could make the w/s taller than the stock w/s because of flexing. Must have something to do with the v shape? Anyways I have one coming so will find out I guess. Jim
Ah, let's get a few more on the road and a few more reviews. I really like the one on my FJR1300, so we'll see. Keep in mind, I like my windshield low (look over) and perhaps it will flex less in the lower position. Will let you know for sure.

I'm looking forward to your review, Dave.
HDL has my V Stream w/s on back order so cancelled at this time. I'm going to wait and see how other members think of it. Jim
I talked to customer rep.today thisis what they told me.We tested the windshield on several types on bikes, its does have a "small flex in it" and it does rainbow if you are wearing polorized glasses. The reson for the flexing is because of the material it made from. Not as stiff as the other types of windshields, but its stronger. The rainbow effect is caused by the hard coating. Thats what they told me.I send it back today ,cost me a 20%restocking fee. Will odred the F4,today

Just to give you a heads up, beacause I own a F4 +4 My shield also has the rainbow effect throughout the shield, but like you stated, I solved my problem by wearing non-polorized sunglasses on sunny days and yes I do like my F4 and would buy another if I had to.
