I've seen a few threads about polishing wheels lately and reminded me about a small company I saw at MC rally. Took a front wheel to them last week and for $70 my wheel looks like chrome. In fact today another wing rider asked me when I got the chrome wheels.

In the first picture you can see reflection of wood floor and lady on magazine that was nearby. Second pic you can see relection of gravel driveway on wheel.

I do all my own work, but for $70 why would I waste my time trying to get their results.

The shop's name is American Show Polish in Haslet Texas (north Ft Worth). They have a website. They cater to the MC community and use to do a lot of work for American Ironhorse.
I HAVE NO INTEREST IN THIS COMPANY. I was just truly satisfied with the results and the cost.

I polished mine.

The usual:
400 grit. 800 grit 00 steel wool than 0000 steel wool and polishing compound

Spray with WD-40 run about 100 yards with light pressure on brakes to burn off the rotors.

WD-40 keeps them clean for the most part.

Did the same with the valve covers, will try the spar next.
