The platform automatically saves drafts so if you don't need it anymore, you will need to highlight the text and remove it.I've noticed when replying to a thread ... if I get started and decide to just forget it and not continue with the reply. Is there an easier way to get rid of the reply besides highlighting and deleting? On the other forum if I clicked the back button on the browser it was then gone. To my surprise that didn't work here.
Great minds ...........We have passed on to the developers our wish for more color options. I like the idea of grey.
Bookmarking will help with specific posts or threads, but not for entire forum sections. Is it possible for me to have a page with links to the various Forums and sub-forums I visit most often? I use the Arkansas sub-forum a lot and it seems to be a real pain to get there?
I agree and think the ads in the post threads are not only distracting, but they are deceptive and could be problematic, especially for those (like myself) tablet and mobile device users. I mistakenly touched one and triggered opening something I certainly didn't want to. GrrrrBefore The change I saw the site with essentially no ads. Now between the ads on the side bars and the ads in the middle of threads, it is really frustrating. That is especially true because the ads in the threads look almost like posts. The other forums I use even without being a member are not nearly as obnoxious as this arrangement. The ads take up a huge amount of screen space. Even if I would buy something from one of the advertisers here, I will make sure and never click on their link. I do not mind ads, but they should be reasonable.
You should be able to post the URL directly into the text editor, but if you are wanting to use a specific title for the link, then you would need to do it the way you did.OK, I am not sold on the new format yet, but I will give a good try. I like the idea of selectable background colors also.
I was responding to a post and tried to insert a link to another forum here and it would not simply paste in into the text editor, I had to use the insert link icon in the tool bar at the bottom of the message. It would be much easier to be able to copy and paste a link in as I going along, like the old forum did.
You probably already know that people DON'T like change. There's a reason why a book named "Who Moved My Cheese?" became a bestseller. That said, I have had the chance to get use to this format on the KTMFORUMS site and after a bit, I have come to appreciate it. Initially it was harder to navigate, but the forum response seemed a lot better than the previous version, which has been a complaint about several of the VerticalScope boards. There are still things I found better on the old site but overall I appreciate the upgrade. Thanks for the hard work. Please don't be afraid to explore and test out things to see how they work on the site.
Although you can certainly use the "insert image" icon to upload an image to your post, you can also just drag and drop it to the text editor or even copy/paste it into there!

You can easily share videos just by adding the URL directly into the text editor!
Gif links from sites like giphy.com will display automatically just by adding the gif URL directly in the text editor. Try it!
I am also a huge fan of the dark mode for the community. What is your favorite feature?
We will be seeing weekly updates (approximately) to the site which are largely based on community feedback.
I will be here to answer questions and to help you navigate, as needed.
I'm sure gl1800Admin ("Cricket") will chime in to clarify things.So... I see under Settings/Preferences we have a new "Show sensitive and/or mature content. Content not recommended for those under 18". Does that mean risqué is now acceptable?
