Leaving tomorrow. Flying from Houston to Vegas. Going to Zion, Bryce, Hwy 12 to Torrey then hwy 24 to IH 70 East across to hwy 191 then south to Moab. Will see Arches and Canyonlands. Then hwy 191 south to hwy 95. West to 261 south to Hwy 163 and then to Tuba City. Then do the South rim and back to Vegas. Are there any passes that we cannot get across on wings at this time or is the forcast indicating snow for any of this route?
Thanks and wish us luck.

You should be OK. Our storms have let up and the daytime temps are rideable. Do bring cold weather gear. I rode to Provo area yesterday morning. 30 degrees over the mountain. You will be south so it should be warmer for you.

pauptonm - keep in mind that you are going to get into some pretty significant elevations (7,400 to 8,000 feet in some places) and the temperatures in the evening and early morning hours is going to be easily in the low to mid 20's (or lower), so plan accordingly and be prepared. No rain in the forecast, but when has a weather forecast ever been 100% accurate.

If you have electric gear, it will come in handy, otherwise dress in layers and/or have them available.

Have fun and bring your camera,

DaleC

P.S. If you do get snow, it does add to the unique photos you might get....
