What Browser do you use

Had problems with IE, switched to Firefox. Like it much better. no problems with it at all so far.

After Netscape's departure. Foxfox was logical choice as I "HATE" IE. No problems so far.

George, I voted "other" because I am not quite sure how to respond. I use AT&T for DSL, AOL for internet, and Windows XP Home on the box. Perhaps you can straighten me out.

ATT uses a modified version of IE (Internet Explorer) AOL??Well I really don't know!! I remove it from all of the computers that I come across 4:

I use both IE and Firefox. Some sites I cannot access with Firefox.

George P. I, too, use AOL for email, etc. Is this a browser? I ain't too swift on these new computer thingies. A friend of mine was showing me his new computer and it even had dirty pictures on it. I keep looking, but all mine has on it is old people riding trikes.....:joke:

I have something called Microsoft Vista and they say it operates the computer....??

Why do you delete AOL??

That is still a debatable subject even at Microsoft :lol: about Vista!!

I remove the AOL software because of the overhead that it thinks it has to have, and they are Big Brother setup :shock: The email is just a client retriever, not necessarily a Browser, now if you open the AOL software that is a browser, and I am not sure what it is based on if any thing :shrug:

Hmmmmm, I use three....Firefox and Safari on my Mac. Then I use Internet Explorer on my PCs. I like Firefox and may just start using it on all my systems. I see some of you asking about AOL. When I was doing computer tech work a few years ago we had people who had internet access download the IM software from AOL. It caused so much trouble with the companies propriatery software we had do delete it all. The easiest way to get rid of of it at that time was to Ghost each system. The headsheds then said if anyone downloaded AOL again, they would be terminated. It was a real PITA to try and get rid of the AOL software by just deleting it. We never were ever able to get rid of it completely without reformatting each hard drive. Was nice to have Ghost at that time.

Well, George L. I guess that we are out of step with everyone, It works well for me and I would not have the slightest idea how to change to some of that other stuff. Too old to change what I have that works. One of my daughters is a software engineer, but no help from her.

Guess that I'll just "bump along" the best I can..

I tried Chrome for awhile when it first came out...... wasn't that impressed & probably didn't hang around long enuf to really give it a thorough look-see.... went back to IE

I did try FireFox 2-3 yrs ago upon recommendation of a tech friend. Maybe it's friendlier now. FireFox didn't seem to communicate very well w/several programs I use - so, again went back to IE.

BULLETIN - made it above freezing in my part of Missouri today for the 1st time since Jan. 3rd ! Supposed to inch near 60 degrees tomorrow..... I'm goin for a ride tomorrow !

Surprised that the vote for Fire Fox is running so close to IE. I use Fire Fox because of the built in ad blocker.

I use web browsers for my job and there are some web programming (typically Javascript utilities) that work more reliably in IE and sometimes not at all in Firefox or Chrome.

I like a lot of the features that Chrome provides and it's lightning fast compared to the IE and even Firefox.

Firefox at fifth wheel, IE at Log. Do NOT know what Ghost means. Wife, who is pretty computer smart, has NOT heard of Chrome. We seem to be getting along OK. IOWASTROKER:doorag:

Gary, I am staying with AOL. It serves me well with I want to do. I know I don't use my computer close to it's capability, but...what can I say.
