What Tourpak bag is that?
It’s the Nelson-Rigg Route One. 63liter. I originally purchased for my Harley Ultra Classic and didn’t think it would fit on the GoldStrike luggage rack, but fits fine. I’m only going to use for light bulky items like rain gear, and bike cover, etc. I’ll be over the 5lb limit, but probably won’t be more than 10-12 lbs. the neon green dry-bag is all of my camping gear.

I have that same exact Nelson Rigg bag on my trunk rack, and it's great! A word of warning though: I had my full size cover, and an extra riding jacket/pants set in there. It definitely wasn't too heavy, but after 8 days and 4000 miles, the inner base of the bag started to sag. Partially, it was due to how the bag hangs over the back of the trunk rack. The other part is due to the softer material that is used as an inner base.

I saw one forum member make a larger plexiglass plate that mounted directly to the trunk rack in order to cover the extra width and depth of the bag.

I cut a piece of extra decorative paneling and placed it inside the bag in hopes to make it more rigid. I haven't had a chance to test it out, but I'm hoping it will do the trick.

I combined the upper bracket from my the Utopia backrest and the lower bracket from the Mustang backrest so I could mount the Utopia backrest to my new to me Mustang seat. I took it for a short ride and I think it going to be quite comfortable. Gonna jump in the shower and go for a longer ride now.

Valve clearance check. Contacted the P.O. to see when the last valve clearance check was done since we have a two-up trip planned soon. He said he checked them around the mileage due but didn't remember exactly when that was. Since it's 21 years old now, and I've been wanting to check them just to do it, I tackled it today. One exhaust valve has tightened up to 8 but the rest were still at 9. All the intake valves have tightened up to 5 and one of them is a tight 5. Still technically in spec so I won't mess with the shims this time. Re-used the gaskets and I don't see any leaking so seems all good.

Boxed up a return to J&P Cycles for some Highway Pegs that I didn't like once I received them. I think I will just spend an extra $100 and pony up for the AeroPeg Flip-out's from Rivco.
Also worked on some video footage for my YouTube channel

Installed new battery with pigtail that doubles as trickle charger and jump starter if battery dies, sequential turn signal mirrors with daytime running lights, and MADSTAD windshield...went out for about a 30-45 mile ride to take advantage of the break in the weather...it was a good day.
Let me know what you think of the MadStad. I have had mine for about a year now and absolutely love it. I have a few videos posted on my YT channel

I installed Baker hand wings on my F6B, Had to go to Home Depot to buy Nylok nuts. Mounting hardware was incomplete!!!
When I put mine on a few weeks ago every time I adjusted them they would work loose, no nylon washers at all in the pack. I bought the nylon washers and the nylok style nuts and they no longer worked loose. Then when adjusting them the stud kept working loose from up inside the mirror no matter how tight I made them. Ended up having to use just a little bit of lock-tight in there, yes the removable kind. Work perfectly now.

Hi, you figure that as much as they cost, a bit more quality control would help! I will get in touch with them and at least let them know!

Today I installed a set of Kuryakyn Omni highway pegs. I know these have gotten some mixed reviews related to the installation but I found the install to be pretty straight-forward and everything went together reasonably well. I like the substantial range of adjustability that these pegs offer, along with little-to-no loss of cornering clearance when set up to my preferences (I'm 6'4", 35" inseam). Here's a before and after of the right side:

Having already installed an F4 +4 windscreen, I'm really excited to get the bike out on the open road and see how it performs.

The rear foot rests are powder coated a nice design except for the gray plastic in the middle, the plastic was scuffed up discolored. I never really liked that dull gray plastic and was showing my wife the other day, she suggested I paint it it black. While thinking about it I thought the paint would end up getting scuffed too. Then I thought about the bed liner I used on the belly pan and decided to do that instead. Yesterday morning I double coated the gray plastic pieces with bed liner and put them on this afternoon. I really like how it looks against that powder coat design.

I believe they made some changes in production after the initial production models received poor reviews. I had an ordeal installing the set I had but made them work. They are excellent for clearance and function.
