$900.00 to spend on a 2006 Goldwing, what would you purchase?

Choices - Spoiler (06)
Gerbings (it is cold in MN)
Chrome Lower Cowl (the dark red 06 is only missing the cowls to be chromed)
Painted matching parts
CB (this would be tough to buy just on principal)
Other accessories?

Thanks,

John

I would not buy chrome, it does nothing, maybe adds weight

I would get a nice GPS, second some heated riding clothes

Since you live in Minnesota, Gerbing's. I hooked mine up for the first time yesterday and it was NICE! Temps around 28 and I was plenty warm. Got the whole setup- Gloves, Jacket Liner, Pant Liner and socks.

If you ride in groups, the CB is handy. Assuming others have the CB as well. I rarely use mine but I am glad I have it.

I agree with laen - skip the chrome. At least for now. If you're have a budget limit for accessories go for functionality and comfort - not looks.

what to buy?

FUNCTION over form anytime. Gerbings gear is a must have for all serious riders who live north of Florida. Although I was glad to have my heated gear at Bike Week a few years ago when temps were in the 40's and 50's.

Gerbings, both the gloves and the jacket liner. Do not get the SAE connectors, get the coax style. I've had both now and the coax is way easier to deal with.

Put the remainder towards a trip to Key West or something :D :D

Gerbings to keep warm.
Spoiler to keep safe, (with added rear visibility.)
CB to keep in touch.
GPS to keep from getting lost.

May be a little more than $900, but save you money, they're all important.

Gerbings, best item I've ever bought in 35 + years of motorcycling....

GPS, a good Garmin will do, 2720 is a all around performer....

A good riding jacket, Kilimangero, Joe Rocket or simular with armour.

A good fitting helmet....

Food and Gas money.....
