I would trike the bike you already have. The blue looks great as a trike!
I would think that Triking what you have would be the best bet, and I bet the trailer would match too ;)
I had the Trike Shop send me a kit for my 03 and my son and I installed. A piece of cake on the install. I'm in Eastern Washington, Pasco. Give me call if you need help.

Its still a new bike. You will take a beating if you sell it, so trike it. Trike Installers in Oregon are Island Trike in Portland area, a Lehman dealer just off I 205 next to the boarder (Wingman, I think), neither of which I have experience with. There is an independent in Junction City I would not recommend, and the one I use and recommend is S&D Custom in Grants Pass that are MotorTrike dealers. [email protected]

They also are really good with Harleys.
Thanks
for the help it's alway nice for others input in time like the one we are in now to make sure we don't do it twice:doorag::thumbup:

Hey how did a ******* biker end up in Oregon:?::doorag: Misty Mountain is one of CSC's best but you wouldn't be happy with a YELLOW Trike........:joke: Actually if you can get a good price for yours it might not be a bad deal.
I did pick the bike up used, and i think i can resell it for what i payed for it
sombody on the site here said to buy a used one to see if you like the wing. At 130mph with heated hand grips you can't get any beater then that.
and with a Yellow one at 100mph i will b e looking like i'm doign 130;)

Not to mention you'll be among the Trike Elite. Although the 100 mph thing concerns me. Yes, Yellow is the most gorgeous color of all, but also the most visible to the trained eye of the law enforcement crowd. As J V McClure discovered in Arizona not long ago. His is not Yellow but he has his mug shot plastered all over the post office walls in Phoenix. If you're going to go YELLOW and speed too have a good story ready. Tell 'em your installer pinched your throttle cable and it sticks. Or blame it on our fellow board members..........like I do!

Even if you get your money back selling the 07 when you buy the 09 you will have to pay full tax on the 09 plus your insurance will go up considerably as I discovered when considering the same thing myself. Just think of the farkles you could buy with the tax and insurance difference. Just figure those differences before you decide..

Of course being a ******* biker you probably have millions and a few lousy bucks for tax and ins. is just coffee money anyway. :joke: :eek:4:
I will tell you that the blue looks nice as a trike and there aren't many of us. THAT"S A LOT OF YELLOW! when it's a trike, it looks like twice as much. Besides - you have a NEW bike already, trike it. I had 14K on mine and never even thought about getting rid of it. You'll love what ever kit you do, just ride as many of them as you can BEFORE you decide whcih one. Good luck -

Maybe MCJack has a point there *******! Since the majority is leaning toward you Triking your BLUE beauty, and seeing as how it is as New as can be, I will graciously call Misty Mountain, take the overpriced, overly gaudy, YELLOW beast and shamefully buy it and ride it myself.

But first one of two things has to happen! I will call my new hero in Washington (Speaker Palosi) and ask for a Trike related Bail Out of, oh say $50,000.00. A meer drop in the bucket compared to what she wants us to waste anyway. Now I know being a hard working, long suffering American business man gives me no right to ask but what the heck. She appreciates hard working Americans.........Right?

Or secondly I could take donations from all the board members of $100.00 each which would have to be sent a.s.a.p. so I can have my New Yellow Trike by the Texas ride in April.
ok:coffee1: I'M up:coffee1: and i see once again the folks on the board would show me the way. I could ask witch kit should i get but that would open a can of worms:eek:4: their is a Lehman shop here in portland that eveybody say is a great shop. and what i have seen it's all about the shop, I think like anything, once you get use to it you don't notice the extra bump
Great job on info

:yes1:I second FlashG's opinion....blue looks great on a trike. I'm always getting compliments on how pretty the blue is. I had my '07 for a year and 26K miles on it before I triked it with a Hannigan. Since then I have put another 5K + on it and never regreted it a bit.:p

Do your homework. Oregon does not have a tax - only a license and title fee. And my insurance rates acutually went down with the trike.

And, *******, once you trike it, scrap the 130MPH idea. The increased road friction, wind resistance and weight cuts right into the performance curve. Something like putting a tank conversion on a Volkswagon.
to quote Harry;

i agree, and besides, if you slow down and run at a nice steady 60 - 70, you gain more in the posing stakes as more folk can look and say "wow, that looks great, wish i could have one" hehe.

;)
IRHarry, you mean there is no sales or excise tax in your state. I find it hard to believe that if you jump up 2 years in model that you would have a lower insurance rate. If so you certainly live in the promised land. :eek:4:

Sorry, I didn't take time to check but suggested that he check before making his decision. (just figure those differences before you decide).

Hit 115 once while chasing a Bull Dawg, but that was a two trips to Kerrville ago (which included two trips to Coopers, and two to the OST). I don't miss the MPH, but I do miss the BBQ and the chow at the OST. Can't wait until June when I get back in the area.
THANKS AGAIN,

Now that I see everybody is looking out for my welfare, I only ran the bike up there just long enough to hit 130, things do go by in a blur. On my HD I run round 70mph
But I can see on the wing you need to be checking your speed at 80 she so smooth and when SO starts looking over I will have to drop here back down to 65mph to keep the pain out of my side!!!!!
But I don’t have to tell you guy’s
It looks like I need to give a little more info,
I pick this 07 ABS GW with 1500 mile on for $16,000 with some add on options, Sign of the times, If I had pay new bike price then it would be a easy chose, I would trike it,
But if I can get my $16000 back, and put it on a new 09 trike with the nav. I would be out about the same money
Sorry about not giving enough Info.
Hey, guys, maybe he just likes YELLOW! I can certainly understand why.
