I am about to order a hitch and HF trailer......what is the tongue height needed for the 8" and 12" wheel HF trailer? I think I will go with a Revco hitch......( this is for a GL1800)

Revco has hitches for 8" to 11".....11" to 14"...and ...13" to 16"...

I would think 11 to 14 ?? I don't know that for a fact!! My ball is right at 12 on the Trike.

The -3" that comes with the Rivco is perfect. It will give you around 3 to 4 degrees nose low on the tongue which is perfect geometry for motorcycle trailer towing.
