How many of you spend your winter months or when you have down time from riding enjoy pulling out maps and planning or getting ideas for your next trip I like doing that a lot when I can’t ride me and the wife are looking at map of Michigan right now and are planning to ride and camp along the west side of the state have any of you rode/ camped / hotel’ed it along that side and do you have any tips or suggestions just one of a few things we’re looking at now that we have wing with a trailer

Thanks for the answer. I had no idea. It’s my buddy’s boat. If he gets a larger one I’ll probably buy this one 👍🚤
An osprey with his breakfast flew past as I was having coffee at the beach this morning. The eagles had just finished eating their fish out on the break wall about 1/3 mile out

I’ve been trying to not post too many pics here, but need to share one from earlier today. 🦅. This guy was sitting atop the flag pole near our town’s lighthouse

Very cool pic! Feels American for sure.

Me? I take my closeups of large birds a little different.

Taken Friday while riding on WV15 near Webster Springs. Yeah, I cross the center line trying to miss it. I was doing about 75 right then. No birds or bikes were harmed in acquiring this photo. :)

WOW WOW WOW 😳. That’s an incredible shot, and so frightening all at the same time.

I must admit, Its much easier photographing them when they’re perched 😁

Yesterday and today were great riding days. 375 miles of just wandering around some of my favorite areas. When I arrived at the Marblehead lighthouse today, this was my odometer reading. 😎

That’s an amazing photo. The detail is remarkable!
Well, my “things I do when not riding” time just increased. Put the Wing in for its winter nap today. Tomorrow rain then temps in the 40’s next week with a chance of snow/rain mix. If it warms up again I can always uncover it and go for a ride. 😁

Oh well, guess I’ll go take a few photos 😎

Great lighting today. Saw at least 15 eagles. A few landed fairly close to where I was standing. 👍

Amazing photography, sir, as others have remarked. But your patience ( and endurance ) in the frigid temperatures, waiting for that perfect shot….

We stopped at both the upper and lower falls there in June. Highly recommended 👍. I think we had to buy a $6 day pass but well worth it. The nearby Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point was also very interesting, and they have the actual ship’s bell from the Edmund Fitzgerald on display
