With most folks using a bluetooth headset with their new wing, what radar detector have you found that will pair with your helmet's headsets to provide an audio alert?
Or, are we stuck with having to connect a bluetooth transmitter to the detector's audio-out jack?

Escort Max 360 is bluetooth. I found it after a quick google search. Not sure if they are waterproof though?

None are really waterproof! Just slip a ziplock bag over it and you are golden!

I have this on my 09 Vmax and receive the BT signal through my Sena headset. Made for MC's and rather spendy, but it's probably paid for itself several times around for me long ago.

I agree. I have had an Adaptive detector on my bikes since 2005 or 2006 (I forget). Very rugged, reliable and water does not affect it. I am on my second one.

Not sure this would provide audio alerts to my headset. I'll have to call Escort and ask.

Yes, that would work, but I'm trying to locate a detector with the Bluetooth auto-alert feature built-in so as not to have to add another item (transmitter) to it.

I just spoke to a representative at Escort and they confirmed that none of their radar detectors will Bluetooth an audio signal to a headset.

For the adaptivtech BT transmitter, do you need to press the button on it every time you start a ride to reconnect the bluetooth connection with your headset?
Has anyone tired it with other brands of radar detector to ensure the Codec is supported?

I've run the VALENTINE with an app for my android which works fine. However, I prefer running the Valentine w/ the VISUAL ALERT by Marc Parnes. Works great even in direct sun light. One less thing to run thru the phone. Ride safe.

Valentine V1 with one of their bluetooth dongles works great for me.
Bluetooths to my phone and then the phone to my Neotech II helmet with the Sena SRL. I listen to music, navigation instructions, receive phone calls and get the detector warnings, the music and navigation volume lowers during the detector warnings. The Valentine1 BT setup sounds great! Do you have a pic of where you mounted the "V1 connection"? Was it attached to your detector, its' mount, or is it hidden under a panel?

I'm going to ask that same question for those that have the AdaptivTech TPX radar. I'm thinking the top of the left front speaker just below the instrument bezel. Any other ideas would be great. Pictures would be fantastic!!

Yes, with the Adaptech BT transmitter, upon restarting my bike, I first have to remember to turn on my headset, and then reach down and hold the big silver button in a couple seconds to make it re-pair with my helmet. I have the transmitter installed on the Ram mount arm right below where the detector resides above my handlebars. I added a small recharge wire to the BT transmitter so that it remains charged at all times, and I do not have to remove it to go charge elsewhere.
