That thread is long and shows a variety of ways to fix the problem. This (amateur!) video is my contribution to the issue. Should you have the same problem, I suggest reading the thread and then watch the video.


Also, note that the video is not (and wasn't meant to be) comprehensive. There are many detailed videos (and documents) on how to remove the windshield so I did not duplicate those efforts.

Had the same problem with my 2002, but never fixed it, eventually sold it.. this video would have made that a possibility
Not sure if my 2010 is having that problem, but did get stuck the other day, and I was able to use the "lift and squeeze" technique and it moved back down to the bottom...

If I remember what is posted in the thread, the new part is in 2008 and up. That little cam should not fall out with the modified part. (And you're welcome!)

Diggin up an old thread here but ..... So I gather one should replace both parts and not just the cam?
