Alexa is a rating service, that tracks sites and the number of visitors to
those sites. Essentially it means of the "billions" of site in the world, as of
today, this site is #56,304 in the world.

Actually, the last I knew, Alexa only tracks the sites visited by those running Windows, using IE 6 or higher and who've installed the Alexa tool bar. This is actually a rather small percentage of web users.

It can't count anyone not running the tool bar, the tool doesn't work in Firefox or any other browser but IE and it doesn't run on the Mac (which used to come with Internet Explorer) or on Linux.

Back in the day, a large number of folks ran the Alexa tool bar (including me), but due to various issues, I don't personally know of anyone still running it. In fact, I prefer the Google tool bar. I run it on all three of the OS's I use, on both IE and Firefox.

Well, either Bulldog needs to post more often or Lamont has to let controversial threads which attract excessive hits, accumulate beyond 5 pages?? We need more international recognition and ranking! Actually, some of us are already pretty rank!!

Winter will account for an upswing in site hits volume, when we get snowed in, and we've depleted our in-home supply of wax.

Hedo will keep us currently informed and amused, unless he devises a method to golf in knee deep snow. The outriggers on his 'Wing only allow riding on recently plowed roads.

it was rated much higher until they did away with the hijack post...it dropped from #1 to 38,152 when they moved the post to the OTB, then it continued the decline to it's present ranking upon its demise...
