I think what you need is a seperate wiring harness to leave on the bike. Removing the unit itself would be fine. You will also need a connection to either the AUX connector on the bike, and a Kennedy Cell Set (or similar) to have it play through the intercome. That is if you want to listen to the radio/cb also. It can get a little confuseing, so you need to figure out just what you want to happen when the unit is on the bike. I can send you some pictures of my set up if you want. I also have it so my wife can use the gps from the passenger seat, thus freeing me to concentrate on the driving. http://www.goldwinggadgets.com/ This is a good place to get information on just what you need.
