Wisconsin Dells “International” Spring Breakfast ride in. May 8[SUP]th[/SUP], 9[SUP]th[/SUP] and 10[SUP]th[/SUP]
Indian Trail Motel 1013 Broadway Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965 608-253-2641
Friday guests start arriving through the day and we all meet and greet new and established friend hanging and socializing. Dinner on Friday is on your own however, most people hook up with a group and find a place to go eat. In the past Orrin has been able to set-up dinner at Moose Jaw Pizza and Brewing Company. With any luck we may be able to get him to do it again, but he is in the process of moving and may not have time to handle it this spring. (Orrin, please chime in and let us know) If this is not to your liking there are many other options. Some just hang out at the motel and order a pizza. After dinner we usually sit around and visit and catch up on gossip since the last gathering. There are various people who manage to entertain the group with witty comments and antics. Drinks are usually consumed but not required. There are a few members who choose to visit Ho-Chunk Casino. The casino runs a free shuttle bus so people do not have to worry about drinking and driving. We have been able to convince Anna (the owner of Indian Trail Motel) to set up a bonfire on Friday and Saturday night for some previous ride-ins. Maybe we can again. Saturday Morning we have rail32 and his huge coffee pot outside his room. He usually get the coffee ready by 5. (sometimes earlier and sometimes later) We will then meet at Paul Bunyan’s in the parking lot between 8:45–9:00 am. We will collect money for breakfast in the lot and hand out tickets. Once we have everything squared away with Cindy or Mary from Paul’s we will enter as a group around 9:30. After breakfast we usually head back to the motel and then head out on rides. Some ride leaders choose to leave directly from the parking lot at Paul’s. We usually try to have some participants who know the area lead a few rides or you can head out on your own or lead a ride if you have a desire too. There are many good roads in the area and also several great things to see and/or do. It is very informal and you are not required to do anything. Most of the rides will be coming back to the motel in time for dinner. We still have to determine if we are doing anything special for the evening or not. After dinner we will head back to the motel for more lie telling and visiting and planning other meets through the summer. Once again the casino is a popular for those who continue to win. If all goes well there is a nice campfire to sit around and do our talking. (weather permitting) Sunday morning is time to say our “goodbyes” and head for home several riders will be stopping at various places for breakfast. It seems like a good breakfast helps extend our visit since saying good bye always seems so hardtop do.
Many of our past attendees have already reserved their rooms prior to leaving last fall, but remember when you call to tell them know you are with the Goldwing group. Anna will make sure you are in our group and receive the special rate. Remember everyone is welcome. This is just a gathering of great people who share a common interest and love to ride. What you ride does not matter. HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE. I AM SO EXCITED!!! If I missed anything let me know. More information on the Wisconsin Board. Stop over and visit us.
