Whereas the F4 20" is over 300 bucks and I was wondering:

....sure the F4 is a better quality shield and all that, but for all practical purpose: to keep buffeting off the side of the helmet, don't they both do that--especially if you get some of them winglets under the mirror?

I had the F4 20 inch high. A fine shield, durable. In the end I went with this because I thought it gave a bit more wind protection:

There's been a lot of positive posts about the slipstreamed wrap around standard height on this forum. It's on Amazon for $134.20. I ordered one for use during the cold months of winter.

I have the f4 and I think it's over rated. It's not as thick as the original and it vibrates at speed. I would look at other options and I would not buy it again.

When I went to the link and entered 2018 Gold Wing DCT Tour it said it was not compatible with my bike.

From the few ads I viewed, it looks like their +4 is about the only thing on eBay that works with the '18 DCT Tour. Granted I didn't do an exhaustive search, but I saw two versions - the "T" and the "S". One was about $144, the other around $180. I might have to try the "T" version even though it is a bit more expensive. That's still a far cry from $350+. I'm looking for wider, not taller. Those dudes are up in Loudon, TN, so a ride up the Cherohala Skyway and the Tail of the Dragon (both out of the way, but so what) to get there. But, they offer free shipping, so decisions, decisions.


I believe I have read some good reviews about the Slipstreamer windshield, but I do believe you have to treat it a bit more carefully than the F4's. Just what I've read. I only have the OEM standard shield on the bike.

Interesting.. why would the screen for a DCT Tour be different. I thought all of the 2018/19 wings have the same mounting scheme for the windscreens??

Found one on Amazon for $127.00 bucks shipped. The $350 for a screen was a bit tough to swallow, I have a Cee Baileys on my BMW RT and I believe it is acrylic. It's held up well for over 10 seasons. I figured I'd try the slipstream and if it scratches that easily I'll spring for the F4. Note, Plexus is a great product for cleaning the screen. Been using it for years. It's a bit pricey but it works really well. One can lasts a long time (I think my current can is 3 years old)

For what It's worth, I've been using Lucas Slick Mist to clean my SlipStreamer now for a year with no visible scratches. It also works great on the paint and Blacked Out areas. I use a separate terry cloth for the shied and a second cloth for the rest of the bike.
