Had a great ride in 70 degree sunshine with no wind, and topped it off with a stop at the Hard Eight for some good ole fashioned Texas Brisket. Ran into a couple others from the board there doin the same thing.

They even had the Missouri/Oklahoma game on the big screen. After piggin out, I had a nice relaxing ride down some of the best roads in the area. Just don't get much better than that.

Maybe I need to do a repeat trip tomorrow....

Well, I saw the sun last Thursday and rode 12 miles for a greasy breakfast. It was 38 degrees out.

I'm taking off for Llano tomorrow morning to meet the Orange Bandit and a few others at Coopers for lunch. You should head south and join us!

I know, I know....eating is not the only reason to ride.
Well you got good reason tomorrow - they are open on Sundays - try to beat the church crowd.

We went to the Carolina Smokehouse in Cashiers, NC with a bunch of riders that my wife works with; Toyo and Trialsman came along to help wrangle them.
There were 2 Shadows, 1 1500 Intruder, 7 Harley's, & our 3 'Wings. One HD and one Shadow bailed-out halfway up due to the cold/moist conditions; it got sunny and warmer 10 miles up the road.

It was an experience. Like 3 F-14's escorting a squadron of Cesna's across Lake Superior. Weird. No HD bashing but they just aren't made for twisty roads at all; wow.

One of these things is not like the others; one of these things just doesn't belong...

Paul and I look like we belong in a crazy farm! Had a great time. Thanks for Lunch Mirtes!!!!!!!!!

As soon as I hit Long Branch Road I hit 80 MPH while passin a car. The bike felt like it was on a cloud. It came alive. I came alive. We rode all day in the 20 to 50 mph range. I was going nuts but I controlled myself.

It was nice when I left my house, it started misting while we were waiting for the group. It got real windy, cloudy and then BAM it cleared up and it was great. We did have a good time. I wonder how these guys we rode with are close to the Harley crowd norm? As in riding experience, speed etc. They were all very nice guys, except for Bill, we all know how he is. LOL
