I wish to do a center-type mount of a Zumo 660 on my GL1800 instead of a left or right handle bar attachment. I was thinking some type of ram-mount plate at or near the "Goldwing" label location, but not sure how to do this. Any recommendations? I have my XM radio mounted on the left clutch reservoir and a cup holder near the right brake reservoir. The mounting kit that came with the Zumo 660 contains a U-bolt that does not fit the goldwing square handle-bar. Thanks

I use the Farkle Shelf (http://www.firecreekacc.com/farkleshelf.htm) from FireCreek Accessories. It can be installed without buying his WindBender windshield, but I went the whole package and love it. It keeps my Zumo 660 a little below my vision level and right in the center.

Just a thought here on the safety side of things. Placing your GPS that low from the road line of sight will necessitate you tilting your head down and taking your eyes completely out of the game of what is happening in front of you.

Scroll down about half way. He has a Ram mount that screws in place of the Goldwing emblem. Puts the unit way low though which will force your eyes off the road.
