HSTC

the center stand is still considered an option

My wife never comments on the wing forum, but yesterday she said, Honda's engineers need to come out of the sleeping bags :ROFLMAO:. However, she like the goldy one. Here you go, typical woman. Not sure if to agree on that one. Will see soon enough at my dealer.

Am I reading this correctly? The Nav has been eliminated?

NEW FOR 2025

  • New colors for all trim levels.
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can now be used wirelessly on all Gold Wing versions.
  • Given the widespread adoption of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Gold Wing's native navigation system has been eliminated for 2025.
  • "Since 1975" has been added to the Gold Wing logo that appears at the meter's "opening ceremonies" when the bike is turned on.
  • On standard versions, a Gold Wing logo across the saddlebags and side fairings adds a bold styling treatment.
  • A special 50th Anniversary badge is situated in front of the seat and on the Smart Key, commemorating the Gold Wing's important milestone (on all versions except for Light Silver Metallic).
  • For model-year 2025, all Gold Wing versions in Eternal Gold, Bourdeaux Red Metallic and Matte Black Metallic (not Light Silver Metallic) come with two free commemorative gifts: a coffee-table book and a tabletop 3D 1:12 scale model. The model features a 1975 Gold Wing on one side and a 2025 Gold Wing on the other side.

Every model is equipped with a big, bright, seven-inch, full-color TFT LCD screen to display routes and other navigation information. Plus, since it’s equipped with a gyrocompass, the system even functions inside a tunnel.
Standard on: all trims

The 2025 looks to be a very nice motorcycle. I, however, won't be upgrading. And not because of any lack of feature(s), though somewhat due to the higher pricing puts it out of my reach (I need a new truck before I need a new motorcycle and have you seen the pricing on new trucks?). Plus, I'm still happy with my 2018 (except for the seat which I still haven't changed out - guess I'm a masochist after all :) ). I mean I only have just short of 40k miles on my current 'Wing - it's still practically brand new. Plus I'm aware of all its quirks and I have made select mods that I like. In my opinion, if I had to replace my bike, I think I would look for a 2018 to 2024 DCT Tour before buying a 2025. Primarily due to pricing. The 2025 seat does not look to be much improved over the previous models.

I don't know what Honda was thinking with the gold station wagon wood panel paint job..that is the ugliest paint job yet on the latest Gold Wing..I would even buy the primer painted bikes before I would ever buy the station wagon paint. Honda has really lost touch with its customers...why can't Honda paint with shiny bright colors anymore like they used to.

If I didn't like the wing so much, the new Indian probably, would be in my garage. Indian truly seems to listen to its community.

The money they saved by not adding the Navi should have been invested in upgrading the seat….bringing the older gen comfort back.
They're out there for sale everywhere at a really good price

The wireless support built-in would be a nice convenience; however, one article I read says they have REMOVED the built-in navigation system, so now it's only nav system is Android Auto or CarPlay. I haven't confirmed this yet though. I'd hate to see the native system removed, since it's useful in areas where I have no phone signal.

Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ wireless compatibility

I read the same thing in Motorcycle News. I'm SO glad I bought my 2022! There are so many places in the US where I don't have phone signal, so there are times when I rely on the built-in system instead of Android Auto. I'm really surprised by this move by Honda.

Honda don’t care if you buy one or not…. I guarantee it. They knew exactly what the responses were going to be when they chose that color.

Is what matters to me is I would buy one.

For all the hype, speculation and hope the 2025 is really quite sad. Kind of like wishing for a BB gun at Christmas and getting a squirt gun instead, or wanting a pocket knife and being given a harmonica. Mediocrity is alive and well at Honda Motorcycles, but $1,000 extra for a comfortable seat is almost too much to believe. The plus side is now I don't have to fight the eternal battle of wanting a new motorcycle. My 2023 still has a secure home....

All the new model bellyaching seems normal by now. Predictable. Colors. Etc.

Hardly anybody had anything good to say about the Wing Nav. Honda disabled it and now ppl are howling about THAT.

But I’m thinking Honda didn’t redesign the Audio device under the trunk. All the Nav circuits are still there. Honda merely disabled the Nav and could re-enable it if the howling outrage reaches new levels. But that probably won’t happen.

As far as the gold, I bet it looks stunning in the daylight, live, sitting in front of me. A photo could hardly do it justice.
