How to replace foglight lens?

My '08 Airbag has the original Raybrig foglamps installed by Dallas Honda. A lens got cracked by a rock the other day, so I ordered replacement lenses. I thought it would be a simple "pop off the clips that appear to be holding the lenses to the case, remove the lens, install new one, but no...... I placed a flat-bladed screwdriver between the plastic lamp body and the lens and gave it a small twist, thinking that should separate and pop off the lens, but all that did was break off a piece of the lens. Would appreciate input from anyone who has done this, as I'd like to not have to replace the light set.

I just went thru this recently. I used a heat gun to warm the stuff (silicone?) that is holding the lens. Then I used a utility knife and common screwdriver to pry the lens away from the reflector.
I used an RTV silicone to mount the new lens. Same stuff you could use to form a gasket.

Ron, thanks for your advice. Xompleted the removal using the heat gun, with wood blocks surrounding the body of the fog lamps to protect everything around it. Also directed the heat from the edge of the lens to the center to keep hear where it's wanted. Lenses came off, cleaned out goopy hot adhesive, wiped with acetone and installed new lenses using silicone rtv. Looks brand new, and mine were looking like the shield on a sandblasting booth. Back on the road and looking much nicer for about 30 bucks. Thx again

While you have them out replacing the lens, replace the bulbs with LED bulbs? You can get both at cyclemax and it won’t cost near as much as a new set of LED lights would.

Total for both lights less than $100 with shipping.

Good luck!!!

HF heat gun worked for me. Changed lens and heated it back up and pressed the lens in place again. I'd wash out up first to prevent grit and rock or glad chips from getting trapped in the hot glue.
