Hi All,

Here is a list of what I have done to my 2018 GW Tour DCT Airbag (in no special order):

  1. Tilting Motor Works TRiO front end
  2. inView wireless helmet-mounted brake and turn signal light
  3. TailBlazer modulated tail light
  4. PathBlazer headlight modulator
  5. M1 DVR front/rear HD Cameras
  6. PMD60 power module
  7. Trunk & side case motion sensing lights
  8. Trunk & side case carpet liners
  9. Traxxion seat bolts
  10. Top case organizer
  11. License plate compartment
  12. ShowChrome fuse block isolator
  13. Parking brake interlock
  14. Helibar handlebar risers
  15. Traxxion steering pin
  16. Wildass seat pad
  17. Side stand enlarger
  18. EZpass Skin
  19. Dash screen protector
  20. Grip Puppies
  21. Twisted Throttle D7 Lights
  22. Firecreek Light brackets
  23. Hopnel Tank Bag
  24. 12V accessory port
  25. Goldstrike drink holder
  26. Fred Harmon s Maintenance videos
  27. Utopia seat backrest
  28. Goldstrike highway pegs
1 - What an amazing addition! Tilting Trike Motorcycle Conversion | TRiO Three Wheel (tiltingmotorworks.com) I have had 4 knee surgeries in the last 17 months (including a replacement on 12/2) and still do not have good function. The TRiO front end locks at 1mph, so you never need to put your foot down. It unlocks between 5-7mph which allow for feet-up u-turns and easy slow speed maneuvering. Once unlocked, the bike leans like any other Goldwing with more front contact patch and bigger brakes:

2 - inView, the helmet-mounted wireless brake and turn signal light. Too much to tell and I risk getting banned if I do (I own the company).

3 - TailBlazer - tailBlazer | Designed, Developed and Assembled in the USA (kisantech.com) really like it, easy install, great bang for the bucks! It did take some time to get the 2 modules (1 for each side) to fit under the seat.

4 - PathBlazer - pathBlazer | Designed, Developed and Assembled in the USA (kisantech.com) . More great value. But I did have a problem. Essentially, the system modulates the high beams during the day. A light sensor turns this feature off at night. The instruction say drill a 3/8 hole and install the light sensor. Which I did. Next install a grommet (included) around the light sensor and fir it to the hole. Nope. The grommet they supplied was too small. I contacted Kisan and they were apologetic and discovered that their supplier no longer made the right sized bushing. &*%^$$%^@! I now had a 3/8 hole in my upper deck. I found a grommet at Home Depot that did the trick and all is good.

5 - Thinkware M1 Action Cam Thinkware M1 Motorcycle Cam | Dash Cam | Thinkware USA - see pic 1 installed on the front fender. A second cam is installed under the top case. Great quality cam, easy, but time consuming install to hide the wires. It provides ride documentation and security, just in case.

6 - PMD60 - PDM60 | Rowe Electronics (rowe-electronics.com) Easy install, user programmable, makes getting power to accessories really easy.

7 - Trunk and Side Case Lights - Motion Sensor Closet Lights, MOSTON 10 LED Wireless Under Cabinet Lighting with Built-in Rechargeable Battery, Stick-on Anywhere Magnetic Night Lamp for Cupboard Cabinet Kitchen Stairs, 3 Pack - - Amazon.com I installed these with velcro. They work great. They come on with motion and remove easily for charging.

8 - Trunk & Side case carpet liners. They just add a nice touch and keep things in place. Trunk/Saddlebag Carpet Set for 2018+ Gold Wing (wingstuff.com)

9 - Traxxion Seat bolts - smart! Simplifies seat install. Super Seat Bolt Kit for 2018+ Honda Gold Wing - Traxxion Dynamics

10 - Top case organizer - plastic dividers that really help keep things separate and in their place without sacrificing main trunk space -

11 - License plate compartment - a simple, locking box behind your license plate DrySpec Stash Box Lockable License Plate Storage Box - Twisted Throttle

12 - Show Chrome Fuse Block Isolater - Amazon.com: Show Chrome Accessories 13-311 Electronic Fuse Block Accessory Lighting: Automotive - awesome device - gives you brake and turn output as well as keyed and ignition power!

13 - DCT Parking brake interlock. Honda Goldwing / Tour DCT Parking Brake Interlock Harness – Electrical Connection Why doesn't the GW come with this?! PITA install. Not hard, but time consuming. Lots of panels to remove. It prevents you from moving with the parking brake on. Smart!

14 - Helibar Risers. HeliBars® Tour Performance™ handlebar risers for 2018+ Honda GL1800 I am tall and used to adventure style bikes. It improves my riding position. Slow, careful not-to-difficult install.

15 - Traxxion Steering Pin Steering Safety Pin, 2018+ Gold Wing - Traxxion Dynamics - why take a chance? If you're doing Helibar Risers, install is a no-brainer!

16 - Wild Ass Seat Pad. Motorcycle Seat Cushions, Motorcycle Seat, Motorcycle Seat Pad - Wild Ass (wild-ass.com) Well made, air adjustable. It is comfortable and gives me a little rise (the GW sits low compared to my last bike - a BMW R1200 GS Adventure)

17 - Side stand enlarger - Amazon.com: Aluminum Motorcycle Kickstand Side Stand Enlarge Extension for Honda Goldwing GL1800 2018-2020 (Black): Automotive - she's a heavy bike on soft asphalt!
377689

18 - EZPass Skin - hids the ugly white EZpass on a black dash - Amazon.com: EZ SKIN Bundle: Silicone Skin for EZ Pass + Silicone Pad to Cover the Back + Black Interlocking Strips + Alcohol Prep Pad = Discreet Look INSIDE & OUTSIDE Your Car! (Fits EZ Pass Mini, Latest Version): Car Electronics
377690

19 - Dash screen saver - Amazon.com: Coolsheep 2pcs Motorcycle Scratch Cluster Dashboard Protection Screen Instrument Film Protector for Honda Goldwing GL1800 2018 2019 2020: Automotive - Cheap insurance :) Simple install.

20 - Grip Puppies - Amazon.com: Grip Puppy Comfort Grips - The Original and the Best!: Automotive - if you have big hands, they make the grips more comfortable. Heat comes through just fine.

21 - Twisted Throttle Denali D7 lights - DENALI D7 2.0 TriOptic LED Light Kit with DataDim Technology (twistedthrottle.com) Simply amazing lights. The lenses provide both fog and distance and are benchmark for aftermarket lighting. I drilled the under-light cover for the second mounting hole and to pass the cable through (which I protected with a grommet)
377684

377685

22 - Firecreek light brackets - Light Brackets - Firecreek Accessories - very nice, very strong. Not cheap, but worth the money for heavy lights. Great support from the company!

23 - Hopnel tank bag - Small, but handy! Amazon.com: Hopnel HG18TP Goldwing Tour Tank Pouch: Automotive
377686

24 - Honda 12V accessory port - 12V Accessory Socket for 2018 Gold Wing (wingstuff.com) - super easy install (once you have the panels off).
377687

25 - Gopldstrike drink holder - Goldstrike Drink Holder (wingstuff.com) - Its there when you need it and the mount can be used for other things (like a phone, etc.)
377688

26 - Fred Harmon s Maintenance videos - Watch Fred Harmon's Maintenance Videos for 2018+ Honda Gold Wing from Angel Ride Videos & WingStuff Online | Vimeo On Demand on Vimeo - simply worth their weight in gold. I couldn't have done all this without them.

27 - Utopia seat backrest - Utopia Driver Backrest for 2018 Gold Wing (wingstuff.com) - nice improvement in comfort and gives the passenger a small storage compartment.
377691

28 - Goldstrike highway pegs - Honda Gold Wing 3-Way Adjustable Highway Peg Mounts | Goldstrike (goldstrike3d.com) I found these to give me the most reach and adjustability without sacrificing lean angle. They are a must for me because I cannot bend my left leg enough to get my foot on the normal peg.

For all of these things, install was easier than I expected. It is intimidating at first, but if you take your time and follow Fred's videos, you'll get through it. It does take planning! If you are taking panels off, what else should you be doing?! Organize and label the pieces you take off. Take pictures of assemblies before you take them apart! Don't be in a hurry. Don't muscle anything! Watch Fred's videos!! (Can't say that enough!)

Next project - (purchased, but not yet installed) Honda top case rack and accessory light, rear fender filler, Denali sound bomb horn replacement and Traxxion tie rod upgrade!

So far, I am fine with the stock seat. Time (and my wife) will tell. She hasn't had a lot of time in the saddle yet and it is now winter here.

Huh ... I went to the dollar store and bought glue, duct tape, freezer bags, velcro, sponge beverage holders and a hockey puck (sidestand).
Glued the seat bolt to the washer. $1
Taped a foam cup holder to the bike.$1
Velcroed some freezer bags to the tank. $2
Cut a groove in the hockey puck so my sidestand fits. $1.50
Sandwich bag EZPass holder. $1
Black antislip shelf liner for saddlebags $2.50
I left the front wheel on $0

So pretty close to what you did but my costs was probably less.
Also no need for theft protection as any thief gets stuck on the duct tape.

PS You don't find the horn loud enough?

LOL. Actually, the stock horn is quite loud. I had a Denali Sound Bomb (139db) on my BMW and really liked it. The mini sound bomb came with the D7 lights - and will fit in the same space as the stock horn, so I thought I'd try it.

It was easier than expected. I installed the main module (about the size of a mid size cell phone) on the left side of the bike inside the left side panel in front of the seat. I ran the front camera cable under the front of the seat (it comes from the module) in same space on the opposite (right) side of the bike and fished the wire along the right side cowl to the front of the bike where I dropped it to the front fender. The rear camera has a cable that runs front he main module on the left side along the frame rail under the seat then I tucked it in along the under right side of the top case to where the camera is located under the top case (see below). The cameras install with a flexible 3M tape bracket.

Nice list! Q - why are you moving from Helibars comfort bars to the ST Horizon Custom Adjustable bars? Will you sell the Helibars comfort bars? :)

#12 ·
I have to admit. You have the nicest trike I have seen. All those niceties & no chrome. Congrats!

Send me a text with a ship to address & I will mail you something free that only non chromers can have

I normally use the center stand, but it is a heavy bike if I use the side stand on soft pavement or grass and it gives me a measure of protection.

#17 ·
Wow what a thorough list! There are a few items you mentioned that we need to look into selling. Your post, specifically regarding Fred Harmon, inspired me to ask y'all...do you have any suggestions on products that you would like to see either reviewed or installed by @Fred H. ? If you don't already know, we've teamed up with Fred for a video series, Wingin' It with Fred Harmon, where he reviews and/or installs popular products. If you have any suggestions, let us know!

I can promote all the cool things I have done to my bike. I can even talk about my latest addition - a Sykik SRTP630 TMPS for trikes - which hopefully fixes the problem of losing a wheel TPMS when a trike conversion is done.

I can talk about all of them. except for the product (perhaps the coolist), which I have a relationship with. So, sigh, for me, it is the product that, by me, cannot be spoken (I feel like Harry Potter speaking about Voldermort).

That said, all the products I have installed are cool in themselves and a review on each would be worthy for new buyers.

The tilt lock uses battery power. The battery, bt itself will run it for 8+ hours - so shut the bike off at a gas station, get gas and leave the tilt lock on to keep the bike upright. If I park the bike, I shut everything down and the bike will lean (or fall over) like any 2-wheel bike.
