The MyRadar app is considered a map application and will only go in the top slot, same as Apple Maps.

Only going to need the MyRadar active when in active rain around the area events. Plus actually maps will run secondary but active with turns etc with MyRadar on the screen.

I loaded the app and it does work with my carplay. However I can't seem to get it to zoom in. The zoom works on the app but not in car play? Anyone have an answer to this?

Figured it out. You have to have the pro version to zoom in. After I spent my $4 I was able to do it.

When I open this app in car play I get the dark screen that you show. How do you get to the screen that is showing below that one?

I should have pushed a little further. A little fiddling and there it is. Systems, roads, then playing with the menu.

I will happily pay the four bucks as soon as they get the Android Auto version working.

It looks good on the phone. Not sure where they source the radar imagery in Australia (I'm sure it's not from the local wx radar stations) but we had showers here yesterday and the MyRadar display was very close to the local radar (and to what was falling on my roof).

I just got an update to the BETA. It is now available in my Android Auto. It looks great.

Thanks for the update Tonik. I see it (non BETA free version) is now available on my AA Customise launcher screen whereas it wasn't before. I'll give it a go the bike shortly.

Edit: Just fired it up on the bike (in the shed) and yes, it's working on AA on the bike's screen. Brilliant 👍

FYI, I used this app on my trip out west recently and it worked flawlessly. I also had weather radar on my Zumo XT, but didn't really use it much because this app worked so well and the radar on it was very accurate. I only lost it a few times when I was out of cell tower range. I actually like it better than the OEM Honda Navigation because you can see the roads better with it. You can see it up on the screen several times in this video.

I don't pay any annual fee at all. The pro version was a one-time fee for me. I think I paid $3.99 a few years back, and that is all I've ever spent.

I believe you're confusing the "Premium Features" option, which is $3.99 a month from the Pro Version, which is a ONE TIME $5.99 charge.

The Premium Features are considered an "in-app purchase" and are for things like Hurricane Tracker, Per-Station radar, Ad-Free radar viewing, Aviation Charts etc. You don't need to subscribe to the "Premium Features" to simply have the Weather Radar on CarPlay.

Sorry if this has already been asked/answered. On my iPhone, the radar is animated, but on the goldwing using apple CarPlay it is NOT animated. Is that what everyone else is seeing?

Yea, animation on car screens is frowned upon by the lawyers.

This is where I tend to use two weather apps. I like MyRadar Pro (no monthly subscription) because I can overlay lightning on the map, which is good info to have while on the bike. I also use Weather on the Way because it will show arrows indicating the storms directions (also good info to have while on the bike). Yep, I check both because they provide complimentary information.

As others have stated, there are no animations allowed via CarPlay (this is not Honda's decision).

Unfortunately, an update isn't available in the Google Play Store for me. I tried clearing the cache on both the MyRadar Pro app and the Google Play app and checked again...no change.

I'm wondering if there's another app I need to update that coincides with MyRadar. Very strange.
